In the early hours of the morning we start our day roasting up the finest green beans that we have sourced from around the globe. Each coffee bean is assessed for quality and graded after roasting with the traditional method of cupping. The magic of carefully roasting coffee in our micro roaster brings out the delicate coffee flavours each bean naturally posses depending on where it is grown. Just like wine the climate, altitude and soil affects the final taste. With three coffee bean selections to choose from (one mountain water washed decaf) get ready to be spoilt for choice.
The beans are then ready to go when the doors open up at 8am so you can enjoy a freshly roasted cup of coffee extracted from the world leading Italian hand crafted coffee machine La Mazocco. Whilst the extraction is taking place the steam wand will sound making a perfect micro foam using the finest sourced organic non homogenised milk chosen for its sweet creamy taste, Poured into a hand crafted cup for you to enjoy on a cold winters morning. Or takeaway if your on the run...
Whilst the beans are being roasted and the aroma fills the breaking dawn’s sky the kitchen staff are busy preparing away using only the best local sourced organic farmed goods. All our cooking, coffee and tea is prepared with reverse osmosis filtered water. Here at Melzars we are sticklers for quality and care for the health of our customers. Peer into our cake cabinet where you will find an array of choices. Starting a health kick or simply looking out for your body’s nutritional needs? no worries you can still indulge in a raw caramel slice totally free from gluten, dairy and eggs! you won’t believe it’s actually good for you! So many flavours and struggle with what to choose? No problem just ask one of our friendly staff to bring a sample of teas to you. By smelling the aroma coming from the tea leaves you can then know the flavour. Once you are happy with your tea selection your tea of choice will then be carefully brewed at its optimal temperature and time. Served to you in a hand made glass blown teapot kept warm by a beeswax candle so you can catch up with friends or the morning news without worrying about your tea going cold.
